A lot of people in Jewish communities throughout the United States are on edge in recent years, due to a precipitous rise in the number of attacks on Jewish institutions, including synagogues. For example, last March, an apparent bullet hole was found in a Hebrew school classroom at Temple Adath B’nai Israel in Evansville, Indiana.
